World Food Safety Day 2024

The Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Northern Region, celebrated "World Food Safety Day 2024" on June 7, 2024, with the theme "Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected."

Workshop on Noting, Drafting and Office Procedures.

FSSAI Staff Training Unit HQ, New Delhi conducted a Workshop/Training on Noting, Drafting and Office Procedures on 27.05.2024 at FSSAI NRO, Ghaziabad. Mr. S. Sridhar, Ex-Faculty, ISTM was the faculty for the said training.

Northern Regional Office , FSSAI organised Eat Right Walkathon and Millet mela Under 'Eat Right Initiative India'.

The Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Northern Region, organized the "Eat Right Walkathon and Millets Mela" at UPES University in Dehradun on March 22, 2024 with objective to advocate for safe and nutritious eating habits, with a focus on the significance of millets and minimizing food wastage. Eat Right Millet Mela was graced by the Honorable Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh while Walkathon was flagged off by Ms. Inoshi Sharma, Executive Director, FSSAI on 22nd March, 2024 at the UPES, Bidholi Campus in Dehradun.

Eat Right Awareness program at MMDU Mulana, Ambala, Haryana dated 18/03/2023 was organized by NRO, Ghaziabad with aim to promotion of healthy eating habits and millet through Walkathon and Street Play

Millet March Symposium: Nourishing our nation's defenders with healthy grains

Marking the ‘International Year of Millets-2023, The Indian Army organized a symposium titled “Millet March: Boosting Our Defenders with Millets” at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cant on December 14, 2023. Event was attended by representative from FSSAI, DFLR and Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority. S Vijayarani, Director FSSAI, NRO, Ghaziabad delivered a lecture on “Millets for Nutrition- The Regulatory Perspective”.

Merry Christmas with Millets and स्वस्थ एवं संपन्न-2024

FSSAI Northern Region organized a millet awareness event based on the theme “Merry Christmas with Millets and स्वस्थ एवं संपन्न-2024” on 22nd December, 2023 at NRO, Ghaziabad. A millet based Recipe Competition was organized among the staff and their family members. Certified awards were given to the winners and participants.

Millets-From Farm to Plate-Awareness Program 2023

Millets-From Farm to Plate-Awareness Program- FSSAI, Northern Region organized a millet awareness event based on the theme “Millets: From Farm to Plate” on 31st July, 2023 at Radisson Blu, Koushambi. In this event, more than 50 hotels and more than 200 chefs took part. Praveen Kumar Singh, the Agriculture Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, GOI, was special Guest.

Eat Right Awareness Program at Bhaskaracharya College, Delhi 2023

Team from FSSAI, NRO conducted an awareness camp regarding promotion of FSSAI Initiatives in the campus of BCAS, DU on March 16th , 2023. An informative lecture session was delivered in the College Fest “Food-O- Phile” regarding the FSSAI initiatives and licensing procedure. Also an open session for attending queries of the students as well as the faculty members was addressed by the CLA.
